‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’ has become such an enormous hit for a number of reasons. The chemistry between Fahad Mustafa and Hania Amir happens so naturally and makes you swoon. Emmad Irfani literally is the villainous heartthrob we will happily go back to over and over again.

But people are forgetting that the real reason why ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’ is such an addictive drama is because of Naeema Butt’s performance as the sassy Rubab.

We admit it: everyone hates Rubab because she’s a spoilt brat. She stepped in and stole a man whom Sharjeena was meant to marry. But despite all of this, Rubab is literally the best part about this show because of her jaw-dropping lewks, her iconic clapbacks and how she doesn’t let any one exploit her kindness.

Rubab ki show-stopping lewks

In a world of nobodies, Rubab steps in to the scene looking like she just got off from the Paris Fashion Week. Despite whatever chaos is going on at the moment, Rubab instantly becomes the head turner of the room because she looks good in everything, whether it is a matching top and pant set or even an illustrious sari. Like I can’t forget how gorgeous she looked in this sari in episode 4.

Or even this look.

Rubab and her cold shut-down’s.

We understand that many people would prefer Sharjeena over Rubab because the former is someone who didn’t rely on cheating or lying to others to build a relationship. But from this week’s episodes, we clearly feel like Rubab is the one winning because she knows how to stand up for herself when she is being disrespected. When Rubab finds out that Adeel has been engaging in corrupt practices behind her back it doesn’t take her two seconds to act swiftly. She immediately launches an investigation and coldly shuts down her husband when he tries to order her around.

She is also quick to remind her husband that she is the one in charge whenever he thinks about bossing her around.

Meanwhile, Sharjeena keeps bearing with Mustafa’s mood swings and his tantrums. This week, we watched how Mustafa refused to visit her parents, even taunted her for bringing food from her mother because of his own insecurities about not being capable enough to provide for her. A user on X reflected on the way Mustafa and Sharjeena’s relationship has turned toxic because she keeps putting up with his toxic behaviour.

This week’s episodes have brought out how Mustafa isn’t so different from his brother when it comes to wanting fame and money. He was willing to cast aside even the one person who stood with him when he had nothing. Like sir, why are you being so dismissive of your wife’s pregnancy because this clearly doesn’t happen on its own!

Sharjeena ji please take a page from Rubab’s book and tell this man- child to go to therapy rather than take out his issues on others, especially his pregnant wife!

Yes we can hear your boos. Obviously Rubab is the villain since she speaks in an angreezi accent and is a boss at her company. But give her some kudos where she deserves it. Naeema Butt deserves a lot of credit for taking on a villainous character and making you feel defensive of her.
