Playful and relatable, Ms. Marvel is the dose of brown representation we have been dying to see on our screens.
Ms. Marvel is an upcoming upcoming miniseries featuring the character Kamala Khan (Ms Marvel) played by Iman Vellani. The series is scheduled to premiere on June 8, 2022, with six episodes in total.

BBC Journalist Haroon Rashid took to twitter to appreciate the South Asian representation in the show. From sugar coated saunf to Shahrukh Khan’s iconic dialogues, we are in for a treat!

Another Surprise that came our way through the tweet is that Coke Studio’s ‘Peechay Hutt’ by Hasan Raheem, Talal Qureshi and Justin Bibis will also be played in the series. WHAAAT!!??

The show will be aired on Disney plus which is currently not available in Pakistan. However, Oscar winner director Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy who is also one of the directors for the show announced on Instagram that the Marvel series will be released in cinemas in Pakistan.

She further said “This decision was made to celebrate the introduction of the first Pakistani Marvel superhero, Kamala Khan (played by Iman Vellani), into the MCU. The series also features a diverse cast both in front of and behind the camera. Disney and Marvel did not want Pakistani audiences to miss out on seeing Ms Marvel and her story as Disney+ has not yet launched in their country.”
