The Legend of Maula Jatt has rightfully transformed the way Pakistanis view cinema courtesy the stellar team that curated the experience of a movie. The Bilal Lashari directorial also boasts a stellar cast including, Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Gohar Rasheed and Humaima Malik among other prominent names.
The film’s producer, Nadeem Mandviwalla, recently confirmed in an interview with an Indian media outlet that The Legend of Maula Jatt will have a limited release. Despite its restricted availability, Mandviwalla was positive about the movie’s potential, citing the the high production quality that captivated audiences during its initial release in 2022.
Furthermore he added that the film’s absence from OTT platforms may turn out to be an advantage. Mandviwalla explained that while the excitement around the film has naturally decreased after two years, he believes word-of-mouth buzz will rekindle the audience’s interest.
Director Bilal Lashari posted on Instagram saying,
“Releasing in India, Punjab on Wednesday 2nd Oct! Two years in, and still house full on weekends in Pakistan! Now, I can’t wait for our Punjabi audience in India to experience the magic of this labor of love!”
