Pakistani actress and YouTuber Ayesha Omer, who is known for her bold and honest personality opens up on her abusive past relationship in a recent podcast. Talking about the dynamics of toxic relationships and how many individuals mistake feelings of a dizzying and irrational kind of attachment with true love, the actress recalls “You tend to feel like this is what love is, this obsession, insecurity, jealousy, this clinginess”.

When asked by the host about the relationships in her life, she replied saying “I didn’t walk away from situations soon enough. I was in an abusive relationship for a very long time. At that time I was so young that you feel this is what love is, and this is the expression of love. This obsession, insecurity, jealousy, this clinginess. And a lot of men  believe this is what love is.”

The Bulbulay actress shared that travelling and her exposure with people and friends around the world helped her in part to come out of that relationship as she became acquainted with mindsets from across the world and began to learn that “Love is not possessive. Love is open and free. You have to let people be.”
