As Dar-e-Nijaat progresses, the plot deepens the relationship between Zaryab (Dur-e-Fishan Saleem) and Zamil (Nameer Khan) as they move to the United States together for higher studies. Backed by his insecurity about not being admitted into Harvard with his girlfriend, his shift to religion is the only upper hand he has over her. His desire to compete with Abu Bakr (Sheheryar Munnawar) and his constant inner battle are being satisfied by his renewed faith. While he becomes a practicing Muslim, the judgment he carries for his non-practicing partner takes away the soul from his efforts.

As he walks into a nightclub, he displays his lack of self-control; however, he continues to blame his company rather than take accountability for his actions; he treats religion as an escape from reality, which portrays Zamil as arrogant and narcissistic. While he used to control her actions by emotional blackmail, he now has hung a sword of judgment over her, blaming her for his shortcomings.
