While talking about Kafeel, Atiqa Odho has opened up about how her son, Bilal, motivated her to remarry for the third time. She stated that, while her mother and daughters opposed it, her son took it upon himself to convince the family. She added that the relationship Zeba and Subok share in Kafeel is close to home for her and that she, too, had a similar conversation with her son.
Atiqa further added that her son acknowledged she had faced many hurdles and ups and downs in her relationships and that she should now settle for her current husband, Samar Ali Khan. She added that her son also said her husband was a good match and understood her fondness for him.
Atia also acknowledged that her mother was against it because she worried about society’s judgment. She also added that the news of her third marriage also fueled controversy, which she catered to by talking about the religious rights of a woman. She added that she ensured that people understood that she was committing no sin, but rather following the guidelines set by Islam.
