Expressing her views Mehwish said “I loved the new #pslanthem2021 .It was bold & fresh! This is what stifles creativity in our country,we always want more of the same & not prepared to accept anything different. This bashing has to stop. We need a diversity of voices & ideas.Well done PSL!”

Ever since the sixth edition has been released it has been the subject of memes flooding Twitter. The anthem, featuring Aima Baig, Naseebo Lal, and Young Stunners, was described by Pakistan Cricket Board as referring “to the swing and feel of the movements of cricketers,” when the song was launched. However, cricket fans expressed disappointment on PSL 6, just as they did when Asim Azhar’s “Tayyar Hai” for PSL 5 was released.

Where do you think lies the problem here? Is it that PSL anthem 6 really does not have the musicality, beat and dynamism necessary in a cricket anthem? Or is it that we Pakistanis really have stopped accepting new, bold and fresh concepts and ideas, as a whole?
