In Karachi’s South Zone, the police have arrested a suspect involved in harassing women by secretly recording obscene videos, according to Express News. According to the spokesperson of the Deputy Inspector General (DIG), the police took immediate action and arrested the suspect after a complaint was filed regarding harassment and illicit filming of a woman.
Elaborating on the arrest, the spokesperson stated that during the initial operation, a raid was conducted at the suspect’s residence to apprehend him; however, he managed to escape. Subsequently, the South Zone Police tracked him down and took him into custody.
The police stated that the complaint was filed by the victim’s husband, who, in his statement, said that on May 29, 2026, he was at home with his family when his wife suddenly raised an alarm. She informed him that an unknown man was standing in the street, secretly recording a video of her bathing through the bathroom ventilator.
The police have further elaborated that the accused has been identified as Sabir, son of Qadir; a case has been formally registered against the suspect, and further legal action is underway.
