She said she was conscious of her appearance before her chemotherapy started and bought some wigs; however, she did not use them. The experience with wigs changed her outlook on beauty and beauty standards.
Talking about an image, she said she took it when she went to buy a wig and tried it on, yet it was then that she decided not to rely on them. She added that many suggested she wear a wig, but she told herself not to care and believed that beauty is not reliant on her hair. She added that she shared this image to address the myth that beauty lies in the hair and stated that she believes beauty lies beyond hair and, by extension, beyond physical appearance; to her, beauty lies within.
