In his video, he stated that his song had been featured and that there had been no communication between the Indian channel and his legal team. He said that people are unaware of copyright and intellectual property, and that the situation is being exploited against him. Sajjad Ali had earlier banned Pakistan Idol for featuring his songs due to licensing fee and copyright dispute.

Sajjad added that there is a Pakistan versus India debate after the feature, however non had respected his ownership of his work. He said that the question is not about him not allowing his songs being used in Pakistan, but the fact that hardwork goes into creating the music and the singer should be given the royalty. He dismissed the allegations that he chose to feature in an Indian show instead of Pakistan and his legal team will be issuing a notice to the Indian show as well.
