While hosting a podcast, YouTuber Ali Salman recounted his conversation with Sajjad Ali after he moved to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He stated that Sajjad deserves a national award for his loyalty to Pakistan, as he declined Indian nationality.

He further added that Sajjad moved to the UAE after a robbery in his house, where the robbers had humiliated him, asking him to sing them a song. He said that when Sajjad was offered an Indian nationality, he said that he had left his country, not sold it. He recounted that Sajjad was teary-eyed when he said it and added that people should know what Sajjad has done for his country. Schooling the audience, he said we should appreciate a person’s good deeds in their life, rather than wait until their death to fill social media with wishes.
