Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, nephew of Nusrat Fateh Ali khan and son of Farrukh Fateh Ali comes from a family steeped in six centuries of Qawali traditional, but is best known to contemporary audiences as nephew to Nusrat Fateh.
He began his formal training at the age of seven and has released more than 50 albums, performed in numerous high-profile concerts all across the world and has amassed a global fan following.
Rahat Fateh has marked his way by making numerous appearances on judging panels and as a famous playback singer, singing major film soundtracks for both Pakistan and India. He has sung more than 50 title tracks of television serials and over 100 film songs in both Lollywood and Bollywood.
Known as the iconic Pakistani playback and Qawali singer, Rahat, has also received an honorary doctorate degree of ‘Doctor of Music’ by the world renowned Oxford University. Recently he has added another feather in his cap by bagging the prestigious Lux Style Award 2019 for the Best OST.
