Is it just us or are your Instagram stories also filled with people attending weddings/dholkis/dance practices? We’re not surprised because December is synonymous to shaadi season in Pakistan and we all know how crazy and extravagant it can get. With a wedding to attend every weekend, we know how daunting it can be to find an outfit for each event.

If you want to stand out from the crowd, our best bet would be a saree. Six yards of dripping elegance in chilly Lahori winters, what better than that?

We have sorted out some breathtaking sarees which will make you a head turner in every room (read: wedding) you walk in.

Black is back
First up, we have this gorgeous organza net saree featuring ruffle details by Zainab Salman. We all know the classic power of an all black look and a saree really is just a cherry on top.

Bling it on
Manish Malhotra’s sequin shaded sarees are all the rage with all the B-town ladies adorning them at various events. The timeless appeal of sequins coupled with the unique spark make it an ideal choice for the wedding season.

Best of both worlds
What better than the fabric that Winter truly loves: velvet. Silk, velvet, sequins-all make an appearance in this stunning teal saree by Farah Talib Aziz.

Feather weather?
Thinking of having some fun with the classic draped ensemble. Falguni Shane Peacock’s yellow number with feather and sequin details is all you need to look for.

Scarlet Season
This striking scarlet number by Maya pret a porter is all things gorgeous. Pair it up with some dainty blings and viola, you’re good to go.
