As Kamyar (Bilal Abbas Khan) and Ayra (Hania Aamir) learn the truth behind the explicit video, Kamyar’s plan for revenge unfolds. Where he distances himself from Ayra for not trusting him, he abducts Khawar(Ali Rehman) and then lets him escape. However, his strong stance towards Fariya (Vardah Aziz) left netizens in shock.
In the disturbing scenes in episode 21, Kamyar can be seen poisoning Fariya by forcing a tablet down her throat. He uses force to lock her up in a room and gives her ten minutes until the poison starts to spread in her body. Fariya struggles to spit it out and begs Kamyar to let her go, yet his anger gets the best of him.

The altercation between Kamyar and Fariya sent social media into a fury, criticising how the topic was dealt with aggression and insensitivity. Stating that Kamyar’s rage towards Fariya could have been done differently, a netizen posted:
Seriously? Was there no other way to shoot the confrontation scene? And Bilal went along with it?? Totally could’ve been done differently .#MeriZindagiHaiTu pic.twitter.com/6om0KTesjh

A user said that Kamyar could have taken a legal route to deal with the trauma and posted:
He should have filed an FIR and had F arrested. He already had the girl’s statement .He could have taken the legal route, dragged her to court. This wasn’t the right way to handle it,Don’t come here telling me Fariha’s dad is a police officer,

Another said:
He had legal options, file an FIR, get Fariha arrested, use the girl’s statement, take her to court. This wasn’t it.Not handled tastefully at all.

Viewers went on to say that scenes displaying physical assault are only going to normalise violence. Stating that Kamyar and Ayra conveniently assaulting people is not ok and posted:
This is exactly how violence gets normalized and romanticized on screen. Instead of a conversation, we get a full-blown physical assault-all for drama. Also, Ayra slapping men, every other episode isn’t empowerment either. It’s just lazy, violent writing. https://t.co/ZzFx1wMe4f

However, some defended Kamyar, stating that, knowing he had been assaulted, his anger is justified and posted:
When one get raped one dsnt thnk nrmally like u r thnkng .Peak Victim Blamng behvr. Also we dn’t knw what he has dn to her and what will hppn in future. He is raped his vd was recrded his marriage broke reputation tarnshd nd all U care abt is that he forcibly put smthng into mouth

Netizens pointed out that the audience likely to appreciate Kamyar’s actions is problematic, as it normalises physical assault. They posted:
manhandling a woman is dangerous in itself but what is even more concerning is that the general audience will applaud this scene because apparently she’s an evil woman. ptv writers, directors, and actors need Help. https://t.co/ZKcMzeUmhu

Referring to Kamyar fans, a netizen stated that defending him means defending physical assault. They posted:
People who aren’t questioning such an abusive direction and role have a very f’ed up moral compass. Genuinely pity them. This drama has been bogus from day one, and defending abuse by a physically stronger man on a woman is just peak LOSER PICK ME behaviour. Seek HELP guys. Wake… https://t.co/alsiIrES29
