As Zanjeerain nears its wrap-up, Sohrab’s (Raza Ali Abid) vicious plot has been exposed. Sarbuland (Danyal Zafar), an emotional sardar, struggles to accept his family’s fate after losing both his brothers to greed. Shireen has committed suicide, while Sohrab’s conflicting behavior and sentiments have sent the internet into a frenzy. As the traitor is set to face his fate, Zanjeerain viewers admire the powerful performance by Raza Ali Abid, whose Sohrab has nothing but the viewers’ utmost hate. Being locked inside the cell before his death, he can be seen dealing with varying emotions of guilt, remorse, pride, and loneliness. While he breaks down before his wife, promising that he only truly loved her, he blames the discrimination between him and Sherdil (Ahsan Khan) and Sarbuland for the sardari (tribal leadership). While he had been handed over the care of the land and mines, the title would only be handed to his cousins. In front of Sarbuland, he can be seen proud of his actions against Sherdil; however, he remains in denial over Sherbano’s murder.

Sohrab says that Sarbuland’s life is an honor for his lost sister who became a victim to protect her fiancé; his denial, pride, anger, and humiliation have all been summed up in a series of powerful events. Zanjeerain is being lauded for a rollercoaster episode in which Sarbuland’s conflict with his family, Sohrab’s unwillingness to accept his crimes, and Rabbiya’s constant softness have won hearts. The star, however, has been the antagonist whose complete arc is reflected in the episode, in which events from his childhood, the trauma that shaped his personality, and his growing rage over time are depicted with nuance.
