A man arrested for sexually assaulting his own two daughters confessed to his crime, Express News reported. Earlier today, the man was arrested in Lahore following a prompt police action on a complaint. During the investigation, the accused broke down and accepted his heinous crime.
The Chairperson of the Punjab Women Protection Authority, Hina Parvez Butt, ensured that justice would be served in the case. She visited the victims’ house and met the two girls and their mother, and stated that no leniency would be given to the father who violated the dignity of his own daughters.
Hina Parvez said that strict action will be taken under the law, as sexual crimes against children are intolerable. She added that complete legal and protective assistance will be given to the victims and their mother. She further said that such a father is only seen as a criminal and the law will not spare him for it.
Focusing on her commitment to create a safe Punjab for women, she said that maximum punishment will be given to the accused to set a precedent. She added that the government stands with every oppressed girl and is committed to protecting each one of them.
