Kafeel has entered a rather gloomy phase, with Zeba (Sanam Saeed) left to decide whether she wants to stay with Jamshed, known as Jami (Emmad Irfani). Where her father shows complete support, her Dadi (paternal grandmother) tells her that she needs to remain married.

Dadi stated that earning lies in the hands of Allah and one must accept their fate and remain married. She added that Zeba’s fate will also transform Jami’s financial situation. When Zeba stated that her father wants her to get a divorce, she said that one must not take extreme decisions on the basis of little things.

Jami’s unemployment did not seem like a big issue to Dadi, as his family came from an affluent background. She said that his family or Zeba’s father would set him up in a business, and the situation would settle between them, so she should not go for a divorce.

Despite her father’s support, Zeba decides to stay with Jami as she, too, is scared of what society will say about her divorce. Her father respects her decision, yet he still confronts Jami regarding his finances. He makes sure to tell Jami that Zeba has his support.

Dadi pushing Zeba back into the toxic marriage did not sit well with the audience. What is considered elderly advice is actually what holds women in unwanted, abusive marriages.
