Living with the memories of a lovely life, Beena (Urwa Hocane) now lives with her business-owner husband, Tabish (Ahsan Khan), who gives her all the luxuries but not love. They share two children, and Beena is the epitome of a loyal wife, caring for his household and his mother (Sania Saeed) as he builds a separate life of his own. Ambitious to grow as a politician, Tabish is mingling with his secretary, looking forward to marrying her. Written by Umera Ahmad and directed by Saife Hasan, the drama serial is a parallel of their past and present, where they were first entangled in love, but are now distanced by luxuries.

While Beena is attempting to dust out love from their past life, Tabish can be seen working towards a more modern, up-to-date lifestyle, for which his traditional wife is not a good fit. The drama serial is a representation of Umera Ahmad’s classic vision: a cheating husband and a loyal-to-the-core wife, society’s expectations of women, and their struggle as they live with the past. However, adding the spark to the darkness of Beena’s life is Behram, a fruit vendor she can share a laugh with.

With its premiere, Aap Ki Izzat has received a massive reaction from viewers, who are gutted by Ahsan’s portrayal of Tabish, and he has instantly made it to the internet’s hit list. They have found Urwa to be of great character, and Saif has also earned likability despite his limited screen time. Taking it to X, a user posted:
