In October, HUM Network celebrated the 10th edition of the HUM Awards. The event marked a decade of recognizing Pakistan’s finest storytellers, creative pioneers and maestros; showcasing the country’s entertainment prowess on global stages from Dubai to Toronto and now Houston. This year also featured an exclusive conversation with Maimona Siddiqui, Chief Content Officer at HUM Network, who reflected on the vision behind the awards.

A Spectacular Night in Houston
On October 11, the NRG Arena filled with excitement as stars, fans and dignitaries gathered for the celebration. The red carpet, hosted by Aniqa Zulfiqar and Zarrar Khan, buzzed with energy, while Mahnoor Khan and Uzair Hassan engaged the digital audience. The ceremony opened with Ahmed Jahanzaib’s national anthem, followed by lively and full of energy hosting by Yasir Hussain, Mohib Mirza, Hareem Farooq, Asim Azhar, Hamza Sohail and Dananeer Mobeen.
Performances and Star Power
Coming to the heart of the event, Ali Zafar and Asim Azhar delivered powerful musical performances, Ali Haider joined for a nostalgic medley and Mehwish Hayat and Humayun Saeed returned to the HUM stage after eight years- making everyone dance in their own chairs!
Ramsha Khan and Shuja Asad paid tribute to Nazia and Zoheb Hassan, adding an emotional aura to the night. Many of the industry’s biggest names, including Mahira Khan, Sajal Aly, Hania Aamir and Bushra Ansari, added to the event’s glamour.
Celebrating the Winners
The awards honored outstanding achievements in television. Bilal Abbas Khan won Best Actor Male Popular for Ishq Murshid, while Adnan Siddiqui received Best Actor Male Jury. Sajal Aly took home Best Actress Female for Zard Patton Ka Bunn in both popular and jury categories. Ishq Murshid won Best Drama Popular and Zard Patton Ka Bunn won Best Drama Jury. Additional honors recognized Nadia Jamil, Ali Tahir, Hania Aamir, Faysal Quraishi, Sahar Hashmi and Zarrar Khan, along with a Recognition Award for the film Love Guru.
Inside the Vision of HUM Awards
In her interview, Maimona Siddiqui shared that the HUM Awards were created to honor Pakistan’s storytellers at a time when no consistent platform existed. She believes the credibility comes from consistency, transparency and an undying dedicationto quality. The event holds deep emotional value for overseas Pakistanis, who see it as a celebration of identity and connection.
The Journey Ahead
Siddiqui acknowledged the challenges of hosting a global production but emphasized how each new city strengthens the team’s resolve . She described the 10th edition in Houston as especially meaningful due to its sold out arena, energetic performances and emotional reunions.
Looking ahead, HUM Network plans to expand internationally, enhance the award week experience and further grow its digital presence while continuing to support social causes.

Vision, Heart and Resilience
Summing up the journey of the HUM Awards, Siddiqui chose three defining words: Vision, Heart and Resilience.
