Pakistani cricketer Shaheen Afridi shares first picture with newborn on Instagram

There are rare instances when the internet becomes a place of happiness and joy. Pakistani cricketer and heart throb Shaheen Shah Afridi moved the internet to tears when he shared a picture with his newborn on Instagram. The cricket star captioned the picture ‘At peace’.

Shaheen has remained notoriously private about his family and the birth of his child, so this was a treat for the fans to get a glimpse of his bundle of joy.

Fans ran to the comments section to congratulate the doting baba and his lil one.

Twitter users had to gush over how at peace Shaheen looked with his little one in the picture.

Shaheen Afridi and his wife Ansha announced the birth of their child back in August 2024 through the Pakistan Cricket Board Whatsapp channel after which news began spreading throughout the internet. PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi was among the first celebrities to congratulate the fast bowler on the happy news as he wrote on X:

“Congratulations to Shaheen Afridi on the birth of his son! May the family be blessed with all the happiness in the world, and may Allah (SWT) continue to shower His blessings on the family. It is heartening to witness that he is still continuing to play for Pakistan, and missing out on the invaluable time he could spend with his newborn.”

Although Shaheen Afridi was unable to be present at the birth of his son, he did move the internet with a moving dedication during a match in Bangladesh. The cricket star paid a tribute to his newborn after he took out a wicket.
