A horrifying incident took place in Multan, where a 15-year-old orphaned boy, Waseem Abbas, was crushed under a car. The boy was working under the care of the accused, Touqeer Nazir, who is an electrical contractor. Upon escaping his workplace, the teenager was chased by the accused along with an accomplice in a speeding car and was crushed under it. The police have arrested Touqeer and presented him in court, and a murder case has been registered against him. A 4-day physical remand has been granted in the case, while the victim has been laid to rest in Muzaffarabad.

Touqeer has claimed that it was an accident, as he intended to block the running boy’s way after he ran away from his home. However, police investigation and CCTV footage suggest that the attack was deliberate. While the courts have not come to a conclusion in the case, social media has received an outpouring of responses from celebrities and netizens, as they not only demand justice for the victim but also talk about the prevalence of such incidents. Actress and host Mishi Khan took to Instagram, stating that the fear of Allah is lacking in society and that such perpetrators fear His wrath. She posted:
