Many social media users came to Malala’s rescue when the global peace activist was ridiculed for her ‘training’ and the way she spoke English at the international awards ceremony.

Only the irony is- here are some Pakistanis criticising her for sounding Pakistani! Having lived 15 years of her life in Pakistan, it is nothing to be so worried over! Meanwhile, many netizens came to Malala’s rescue sharing the idea that English is not a barometer of a good education and an accent is even less of one!
A greater measure of intelligence would perhaps be her Oxford degree and her presence at the star-studded which was in relation to her role in producing films that promote education and social justice. Her Oscar-nominated short film ‘Joyland’ is an example of the powerful storytelling that she has brought to the screen.
