Of what we know of the story line so far is that, a small family will struggle with celebrating Eid in full spirits after their immigration to the United States. Ameena, the youngest member of the family – an eight or nine years old girl with a strong determination and a big heart is met with disappointment when she realises her new home of only two months does not recognize Eid as a national holiday unlike Pakistan and that she and her sister will have to go to school on Eid and her father will have to go to work.
Heartbroken, Ameena initiates a petition at school in hopes of getting the day off for herself and her sister to celebrate Eid. Upon finding out about Ameena’s petition, her elder sister Zara becomes upset with her for highlighting what is different about them to the whole school.
And from thereon we will see the story unfold into a beautiful tale of harmony and celebrations met with the classic magical Disney happy ending!
Even though the film is still at its initial stage, but the mere news of such a production from the giant production house has gotten everyone ecstatic and excited!
We wish the team behind this project the very best and look forward to the film!
