As Kafeel moves forward, many have come forward to stop Zeba (Sanam Saeed) from divorcing Jami (Emmad Irfani); however, with her children’s support, she enters the final phase of the process. When she appeared in court, Jami remained missing, and Zeba took the final plunge before she was set free. The judge, whom she expected would rule in her favor, was the last to ask her to step back and find a way to ‘save’ her marriage. Adding to the list of women standing against her, the judge also considered Jami’s inability to provide for her and her children as a baseless reason for divorce.
Where Zeba still conceals his infidelity and emotional and physical abuse, her primary reason was invalidated. However, Zeba broke her silence and spoke up about what, for many, meant a minor inconvenience had destabilized her life. She spent 24 years with a man, in the hope that he would change, yet he remained missing as a husband and a father. Where the world sees her as a woman walking into old age and must compromise, she sees a woman who has been carrying the load, with no energy left to sustain herself.

She opens up about how everyone, including her mother, has been urging her to stay with her husband despite 24 years of torment; she must remain silent and keep on suffering, as there is not much left to life regardless. She adds that at her age, she is expected to be honorable, and a woman who seeks divorce is not. A woman who expects her husband to fulfill her needs is not esteemed; however, the one who silently suffers is. While the woman waits for a change, the man will become stubborn and insensitive, continuing to heap responsibilities on her. Zeba concludes that if a woman is unfortunately married to such a man, she must take a step early on; if not, the woman would be in her place, trying to explain her pain to someone unable to understand it.

Zeba, who has been the epitome of sacrifice throughout the drama serial, and the Kafeel viewers are in awe as she speaks up. Calling the sequence real and impactful, a user posted on X and said:
This bit was extremely impactful.#SanamSaeed is a fab performer.
Though, ideally Jaami should have been divorced on grounds beyond maintenance. I guess there is realism in the plot point that Zeba still wants to hide the fact that he was abusive & a cheater.#Kafeel pic.twitter.com/pZbFQlFiZ5

Stating that Kafeel is written to empower the women who have been stuck in awful marriages for years, a netizen took to X and said:
#Kafeel is written for those women (which there are a lot of) needing the courage to leave their loser husbands even after a long time. Zeba frustrated us but there are many Zebas who keep being convinced to accept it or you will be left alone. Sanam Saeed is brilliant! pic.twitter.com/3ONlvc0rIn

Understanding the message behind the scenes, another netizen posted and stated:
today’s episode of #Kafeel delivered that leaving a husband who does not provide financial security is a good enough reason to leave. It is providing women in similar circumstances as Zeba’s with courage to take a decision. 1/2

One added that Jami’s failure to provide for Zeba is a genuine reason to part ways. They posted:
Kifaalat is a man’s responsibility, which gives him the status of qawwam. As for the lowlife Jami, he HAS cheated on Zeba over the years w/his ex, ultimately raised his hand on her too. So doesn’t that make him characterless? #Kafeel https://t.co/mtLy7SZkAM
