A horrifying murder case has emerged in the Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where a 12-year-old orphan was found dead after being strangled by a rope.

According to the Express Tribune, the widow Fazal Rokhan filed an FIR with the Topi Police Station, reporting that her son Muhammad Kashif was missing. He had not returned home since the previous morning when he had left the house to go play.

The police found the body in the grounds near Government High School Zarobi. The mother along with the relatives arrived at the crime scene to confirm that this was her child.

The police had tracked down and arrested the murderer within three hours, however the motive behind the murder remains unknown.

Another horrific murder took place in Swabi where a man killed his nephew over a property dispute.

According to Dawn, the murder took place in Tehsil Chota Lahor according to the FIR filed by Sher Aslam. He reported that the murderer, Umar Khattab, began an argument with him and his sons at their house in Shagai, then pulled out a weapon and fired at his son, Amanullah.

The murderer then escaped from the crime scene. Police have registered the FIR and have begun investigating the case.

This incident follows the alarming rise of murder cases across Pakistan. The public expressed shock after a case emerged from Okara where a brother killed his younger sister for skipping her 9th grade mathematics exam.

Another heinous case was reported in Lahore where a hospital replaced a sickly baby boy and handed back a dead baby girl to the parents. When the family notified the hospital authorities, it was discovered that the baby boy was missing.
