Cricket is a sensitive topic in Pakistan, it makes us all jazbaati- whenever a cricketer who has served the national team for a long time decides to retire, it always follows with tributes, praises and tears. Such is the case with Mohammad Hafeez as well also know as Professor.

Mohammad Hafeez said “I’m proudly retiring from international cricket with great satisfaction & joy.”

Twitter is pouring in with love and praise for the all-rounder as he retires from International Cricket.
Captain of the Pakistani Cricket team, Babar Azam also took to Twitter to express his gratitude. “A memorable career comes to an end. I have learnt a lot from @mhafeez22 bhai and his experiences. Thank you for your guidance along the time we shared on the field. Happy retirement, professor!


PCB Chairman Rameez Raja also made a statement regarding the retirement “Later in his career, he became a T20 specialist, where he was never out of touch with modern demands of this testing format. His batsmanship took a sprightly turn, nailing sixes almost at will.”


The right-hander will continue to play in Pakistan Super League and will be representing Lahore Qalandars in the upcoming edition of the PSL.
