Sang-e-Mah, a second series in the trilogy preceded by Sang-e-Mar Mar, had its cinematic launch on 8th January and was aired on HUM Tv on 9th January. The first one in the series Sang-e-Mar Mar was a huge hit in Pakistan highlighting various social issues embedded in the society.
Sang-e-Mah is one of the most anticipated shows of the year owing to a stellar cast including Sania Saeed, Nauman Ijaz, Samiya Mumtaz, Hania Amir, Kubra Khan and Najiba Faiz. The show also marks the television debut for Atif Aslam who plays the main lead.

While the cast is definitely a reason to watch the show, the strong storyline is another reason to add the show to your weekend watch list. The show’s OST has also ben receiving a lot of love and definitely adds value to the package that Sang-e-Mah is. Some people on Twitter have also raised some qualms about the representation aspect in the show. We’ll have to wait and find out.
