A video of the celebrated Sufi singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan recently went viral, in which the singer dedicated a Qawwali to the late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala on his first death anniversary.
The singer dedicated the famous qawwali “Akhiyan Udeek Diyan” to Moosewala during his concert in California, and the video went viral on Twitter.

The celebrated rap singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moose Wala, was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa district on May 29 last year. Moose Wala was killed when he, along with his friend and cousin, was travelling in a jeep in Jawahar Ke village in Mansa.
Khan, who is known for many hit songs including “Mann ki lagan”, “Jiya dhadak dhadak”, “Bol na halke halke” and “Dagabaaz re”, won the hearts of audiences across the border with his song dedication. Fans from both India and Pakistan loved the heart warming exchange between the two musicians.
