Pardes wraps up on an emotional note last night. The drama was directed by Marina Khan and produced by Humayun Saeed and Nadeem Baig under Six Sigma Plus production. The drama revolved around a married couple Ahsan and Zubaida (Shaista and Sarmad) who get separated from each other by distance.
The drama has hit the masses as many have been able to relate to both Sarmad and Shaista’s situation. Sarmad played the role of a very kind person who is very loving towards his family and goes to work abroad for the well-being of his family as they belong to a lower-middle class and were struggling with Sarmad being the only bread earner of the family.
Pardes shows two generation, one of Ahsan and Zubaida and the other featuring their children Aimen and her brother. The character of Aimen was played by Dur-e-Fishan who gets married to Ibaad (Affan Waheed). Aimen goes through the same struggle of being separated from her husband, as he also goes to abroad for the well-being of his family and does not return for a couple of months.
Aimen’s character showed true emotions of what wives go through when their husbands go abroad and how lonely and incomplete they feel without them. The drama also highlighted the struggles of husbands/fathers who live alone abroad and work tirelessly and those who do not have a family to return to at the end of the day.
The drama ends on an emotional note where, Ibaad decides not to take his flight and returns home and Aimen and Ibaad live happily ever-after!!
