Pakistani Celebs are sending over love and support to express solidarity with India, as the country undergoes an extreme case of the Covid-19 pandemic, to show Indians that they are indeed not alone.

Recently, former world’s fastest bowler Shoaib Akhtar expressed his solidarity with the pandemic situation in India saying we are ‘in it together’ and requesting help from Pakistan’s government and fans in order to help India deal with the second wave of the Covid-19 virus. Akhtar has appealed for “global support” to help India deal with the ongoing health crisis.

“It is impossible for any government to tackle the ongoing crisis. I appeal to my government and fans, to help India. India does need a lot of oxygen tanks. I request everyone to donate and raise funds for India and deliver oxygen tanks to them,” said Akhtar.

Similarly, Singer and actor Ali Zafar also showed support by taking to his Twitter account.

Pakistani singer Asim Azhar also took to Twitter to send “love and prayers”.

In wake of all the love and support that poured in, the hashtag #PakistanStandsWithIndia became very popular and became on of the top trends on Twitter from Pakistan.

Meanwhile authorities have warned that if Pakistanis do not start to take precautions and follow Covid SOPs, our situation will indeed become similar to that of India’s , very soon!
