The nation met with a tragic incident days before Eid-Ul-Fitr when a PIA plane flying from Lahore to Karachi crashed moments before landing. Reportedly only two memebers survived from a plane carrying 99 passengers and 8 crew members. While no words are enough to describe our grief over this incident, we would like to point out all those heroes who were at the site helping the people who encountered the chaotic crash. Whole some were carrying water bottles others were helping little children flee the situation all of this in the month of Ramadan when every Muslim is fasting. Many volunteer forces and army personnel were seen on the site along with citizens of Karachi to help those who were affected in the crisis that arose due to the crash. Faisal Eidhi from Eidhi Foundation and Zaffar Abbas from JDC served tirelessly at the Karachi plane crash site as well. We salute our unsung heroes who unite us all in the time of adversity!
The people who witnessed the crash in Model Colony, Karachi, today, rushed in to try to help – regardless of coronavirus, regardless of the fact that they were fasting in the heat.
This is Pakistan. Tragedy and heroism and sacrifice and corruption on display, all the time.

This is our country. This is why you cannot put our country in any category that makes sense. We do the wrong thing, we do the right thing. There is no balance, there is only a country ruining and redeeming itself at the same time. It fails and it triumphs at the same time.

While we all mourn with the country over the tragic incident, these unsung heroes are a reminder of how our nation unites in the time of adversity, as a country we can always depend on them.
Praying for the families of those who have to bear terrible losses in a time when we’re already suffering from the pandemic, also praying for the survivors for their speedy recovery.
