Okara: 45-year-old man arrested for harassing female passerby; apology video surfaces online

An apology video of a 45-year-old man is doing rounds on social media, highlighting the incident that took place in Okara where police have arrested a motorcyclist for harassing a female pedestrian, ARY News reported. The accused was identified as Muhammad Nadeem, a resident of 1/4L, and was arrested using CCTV footage.

Talking about the details of the incident, the police told the media that during the arrest, the accused was injured and moved to the hospital for medical treatment. When the police arrived to arrest him, he tried to flee on his motorcycle, lost balance and fell; he sustained injuries on his arms.

The case has been registered at the Saddar Okara Police Station against Nadeem on the complaint of Sub-Inspector (SI) Muhammad Saeed, and further investigation is underway. The investigation is led by District Police Officer (DPO) Dr. Asad Ejaz Malhi, who stated that a zero-tolerance policy is being strictly enforced against those who harass women.
