Starting off as a story of love and deceit, Aap Ki Izzat has marked a daunting shift as the label of honor is detached from a woman and placed on a man. Beena (Urwa Hocane) has left with a vegetable vendor, unlike any devoted wife who has given up her autonomy for the sake of her husband and family. Struggling to find a solution after his wife’s alleged elopement, Tabish (Ahsan Khan) is being motivated to get Beena killed. While guilt and memories of his happy life with Beena haunt him, his political career is compelling him to take a drastic step. The flashbacks and Beena’s bond with his family also delve into the couple’s relationship arc.
The early years of Beena and Tabish’s marriage, the respect for Maa Jee (Sania Saeed), and her involvement with the new family offer insight into Beena’s selfless character. Her love and devotion transformed into her sacrificing herself, making her secondary to the man who died for her.
