A chilling incident occurred in Lahore’s Green Town area, where a woman confessed to murdering her minor stepdaughter during black magic practice. The victim has been identified as Fatima, who was a victim of abuse after her step-mother claimed that it was a requirement for summoning supernatural entities.
The suspect, identified as Nazia, is currently in police custody for murder, where she has confessed to her crime and given an elaborate account of the incident. She told the police that she had been practicing black magic and that the presence of the jinns demanded that she physically torture the children of the household. A few days ago, the suspect struck the minor with an iron rod, which led to traumatic brain injury, later resulting in her death.
It was also discovered that the victim’s eight-year-old sister, Kashaf, was also physically assaulted under an observed pattern of systematic abuse. Kashaf was a regular victim of violence and is currently under a comprehensive medical examination to document her injuries.
Nazia married the children’s father, Ashfaq, two years ago after divorcing her previous husband. Nazia’s seven biological children reside with their father, while she had been responsible for the care of her new husband’s children from his previous marriage. The children under her care have been moved to the Edhi Center due to safety concerns, and a case has been officially registered with Fatima’s biological mother as the complainant. An investigation is underway to determine whether more people were involved in the murder or assault.
