The highly anticipated Kashmir Hum awards took place yesterday in Houston. Celebrities kept pouring in till the last day and as it appeared on their social media profiles, they seemed to be having a gala time preparing for the show and eventually performing. Some also bagged trophies, some bagged hearts with their on point fashion looks.
Transforming into fashion cops for the day, we have a lot to say about everyone’s looks…some did a good job, some bad, some meh!
First up we have Mawra Hocane; she went for understated glamour with a pistachio green Lehnga Choli by Omrose pk and a statement moon shaped bag by Garema Official. A classic bun with pear slides, dewy makeup and fluttery lashes, seems like we really like this look to the moon and back.
Seems like green is the colour of the season. Iqra Aziz opts for a mint green gown by Nomi Ansari with an embellished high neck, ruffles and drama at the bottom. Is it a little too much? Possible! However she ties in the look with a perfect matte makeup look and a high textured bun which really balances the entire look, ultimately making her a head turner at the carpet!
We can’t help but love a little Saree moment at the red carpet and if it’s Ayesha Omar wearing it, we know we’ll be swooning and so we are. Ayesha goes for multiple looks at the event, one of which was this Elan Saree with a futuristic twist styled by Sana Anver.
We have another Saree lover in town and we’re not complaining. Hania chooses to wear an intricate Orchid Purple Saree by Nomi Ansari and statement gold earrings by Maheen Jewels. We dig the look but we think it’s safe, thoughts?
We love how she plays with the silhouette, the vertical stripes and this kaftaan like gown by Maheen Karim really works for here. The color of the outfit is debatable but we like how it’s not boring and safe. Love the cut out sleeves and those blings on her ears.
Rabia Naumaan Ijaz
She looks like a queen in this Emerald green outfit with the most trendy details by Jeem Official. While many celebrities skipped to go classic this year, this celebrity wife teaches them well. Love it!
Kinza goes for a tea pink heavily embroidered off shoulder gown by Sadya Sumair Design Studio and some classic Hollywood hair. Not to forget that embellished belt to cinch the waist added another layer of detail to the dress.
While the boys remained pretty predictable in their tux and sherwanis, some were able to make a statement.
Ali Rehman Khan
We love how Ali experiments with this sherwani by the king of couture Nomi Ansari. We really think he’s a trailblazer who’s going to do things differently in the fashion department.
Imran Ashraf and Adnan Siddique
While we love all the experimenting going on, we can’t deny the power of an all black sherwani. These lads who appeared to attract massive crowds show us how it’s done.
Muneeb Butt and Ahmed Ali Butt
These boys went for Humayun Alamgir tux with Ahmed going for a royal blue velvet one and Muneeb opting for a sequin black tux.
Asim goes for a muted tone but a loud message. We love how this singer isn’t afraid to do what he wants to do or say!
Highs and lows are always a feature of such extravagant events and this proved to be no other. What’s important is that everyone has a good time and as it appears, they did!
