A man in Karachi was taken for arrest after he was caught charging illegal parking fees and also brawling with a police officer on Saturday.
According to Geo, the First Information Report (FIR) said the incident happened on Friday at Bohri Bazaar. The accused was caught charging illegal parking fees and after a cop intervened, the accused began beating him up which escalated into a mob forming, and slowed down the flow of traffic in the area.
A video has also resurfaced from the incident showing that the accused had began fighting with a civilian who refused to pay the illegal parking fees, after which the accused gathered other men and began beating up the civilian. After a cop intervened to stop the brawl, he was also ambushed by the crowd.
According to the police strict action will also be taken against other suspects involved in the crime.
Previously on March 19, a horrifying story emerged from Karachi where a man had set his wife on fire when she caught him indulging in extra-marital affairs. According to Dawn, the survivor said the husband had become abusive after their marriage, and had begun coming home late. When the woman suspected that her husband was having affairs with other women she tried to investigate by contacting the other woman whose house her husband was at. The husband was outraged at his wife discovering his affairs, so he beat her up badly and then set her body on fire.
