As the drama ‘Mere Humsafar’ nears to a close, dropping its 27th episode just yesterday- the internet questions if ‘Mere Humsafar’ is steering towards the same plot as the 2011 drama ‘Humsafar’.
It has been 11 years since the Fawad Khan & Mahira Khan starrer hit Pakistani screens, however the drama still holds a very special place in the hearts of audiences which is why they have been particularly disappointed to find parts of ‘Mere Humsafar’ leading up to the same kind of situations and scenarios as ‘Humsafar’.

Many scenes of the drama also hold a stark similarity with scenes from ‘Humsafar’. In the most recent episode, there is a part where Hamza unties Hala’s hair while taking her permission. He also uses the phrase ‘May I’ to ask her before doing so. Twitter was quick to pick up on the similarity, comparing it to a viral scene from ‘Humsafar’ where Fawad Khan does the same with Mahira Khan- also compiling a short video of the similar clips.

The part in the last teaser where Hamza’s mother Shahjahan brings in Hamza to walk in in on Hala and her ex Khurram having a conversation, also depicts an already done scenario.
