
The news of a fire outbreak at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) nursery has shaken the internet, as 15 newborn children have lost their lives. The fire started after the air conditioner compressor exploded and the nursery’s doors were locked. Panic and torment have fallen on the parents who have lost their newborn children as they cry for justice. They have accused the management of leaving the children unattended as the tragedy took place; no doctors or nurses were present while the parents struggled to get the doors unlocked.

The tragic incident has triggered a wave of anger online as celebrities and netizens join to send prayers for the grieving families and call for action against the management of the prestigious institution. They have taken to social media to seek answers for why the nursery had been left unattended and locked. Enraged over the incident, veteran actor Muhammad Ahmad took to Instagram to express his grief and anger. He posted:
Muhammad Ahmad stated that these victims will also be forgotten like any other committing crimes against children. He added that an investigation will be held; however, no one will be held accountable or punished, and nothing will be done to ensure healthcare safety.
Actress Azeah Daniel also expressed her rage over the incident and stated that this will also be forgotten and the nation will wait for another tragedy. She added that there is no value of life in the country and posted:

Azakah also added that this is the state of affairs in the capital city; the conditions are worse for rural areas and posted on X:

Zunaira Inam Khan, a research analyst and wife of Usman Mukhtar, described the incident as a case of criminal negligence and called for accountability. She took to X and posted:
14 newborns just burnt to death in a fire at PIMS. This is not a terrible accident, it is a result of criminal negligence and mismanagement. There needs to be accountability for the innocent lives lost before they were even given a chance to truly begin.

Demanding a complete investigation into the case, cricketer Shoaib Akhtar took to X, sending prayers for the victims and their families. He posted:
I am in severe pain hearing about the incident of 15 infants burning to death at PIMS hospital. It should be strictly investigated to ensure no such thing happens again.
