Join us as we step into the mind of a designer redefining the boundaries of form and function.

SAAISH strikes the perfect balance between structure and fluidity. Is that an intentional pre-requisite for all your collections?

Absolutely. We consciously aim to incorporate a diverse range of silhouettes in each collection to appeal to a wider audience. We’re always mindful of how different cuts complement varying body types and personal preferences—some women lean toward modern, contemporary shapes, while others gravitate toward traditional styles. This diversity not only keeps the collections dynamic but also helps break the monotony.

While clean, structured cuts are timeless and widely loved among Pakistani women, through SAAISH and our broader design philosophy, we encourage our clients to explore beyond their comfort zones. The goal is always to help them feel beautiful and empowered, whether they choose classic forms or more experimental silhouettes.
We noticed an interplay of textures and silhouettes. Can you share how fabric choices influenced the mood of this collection?

Fabric plays a defining role in shaping the narrative of each piece. It’s often the starting point. For this collection, we leaned into rich, luxurious materials like tissue and lamé for our statement and heavier pieces. These fabrics have an inherent sheen and elegance that elevate the overall look, capturing both opulence and delicacy. The right fabric not only enhances the design but also sets the tone and emotional resonance of the outfit—it’s what gives each piece its character.

Who is the woman you envisioned while designing this collection? What is your target audience?
The woman we design for is someone who’s deeply rooted in her femininity, yet unafraid to express a bolder, edgier side. She’s graceful but never predictable—someone who embraces tradition with a modern twist. Our muse isn’t basic or boring; she’s dynamic, confident, and enjoys playing with fashion in a way that reflects her personality. Whether she’s dressing for a formal occasion or a festive gathering, she wants to stand out while still feeling authentically herself.

Designing this collection has been a journey of self-expression and storytelling. With every piece, I wanted to celebrate the strength, softness, and complexity of the modern woman. SAAISH is more than just clothing—it’s a feeling, a reflection of beauty that’s both seen and felt.

Some pieces feel almost architectural in their design. Was there a specific inspiration or visual reference that shaped the overall aesthetic for SAAISH?

Absolutely. My personal style has always been deeply inspired by Mughal architecture—the intricacy, the harmony in design, the meticulous attention to detail, and the sheer grandeur of its craftsmanship. That aesthetic naturally flows into SAAISH. There’s something timeless and awe-inspiring about those elements, and we try to echo that in our pieces.

Each design is thoughtfully handcrafted, with an emphasis on precision and care, much like the way Mughal artisans approached their art. It’s this blend of heritage and detail that forms the soul of SAAISH.

The colour palette feels incredibly refined. What drew you to these tones for formalwear this season?

For this collection, I was drawn to a palette of neutral tones because they best captured the essence I wanted to convey—timelessness and understated elegance. These shades have a quiet strength; they don’t overpower the design, but rather allow the craftsmanship and detailing to take centre stage.

In a season where colour can often dominate, I wanted to offer something more enduring—pieces that transcend trends and can be worn and cherished for years to come. Neutrals, in that sense, felt both elevated and versatile.

With a plethora of designers in the market targeting formal wear, how does Saleha Kashif continue to stand out?

By staying true to our distinct design language and commitment to craftsmanship. In a fast-paced industry where trends come and go, we focus on quality, detail, and authenticity. Fashion, to me, isn’t just about following what’s popular—it’s about creating something meaningful, lasting, and personal.

When you build from a place of originality and intention, you naturally carve a space that stands apart. Timelessness isn’t born from imitation—it’s cultivated through consistency, care, and a clear creative identity. That’s what defines Saleha Kashif.
