A number of Pakistani artists withdrew their LSA nominations after the #MeToo controversy which sparked outrage in the industry. On the flip-side, model and actor Iman Aly has called out the boycotts of the celebrities as “childish”.
In an Instagram post, the model called the current protest as a “childish” step. “Fame and respect should be earned with hard work in time. Not by childish walkouts and social media posts playing judge, jury and executioner,” she shared on her public account.
Freiha Altaf, one of the prominent figure of the LSA and the woman who championed the #MeToo movement last year at the awards shows, shared her opinion on her Twitter account.
