Actress Kubra Khan was the next celebrity to grace Yasir Hussain’s Youtube channel ‘The Pick And Drop Show’ where she opened up about why she chose to make a guest cameo to perform the item song ‘Dharak Bharak’ in the 2019 film Superstar, which starred Mahira Khan and Bilal Ashraf.
Opening up about the scene, Kubra revealed she made a mistake because she didn’t know that it was an item song. The ‘Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay’ actress revealed she received a call asking her to perform a part, which will also include Bilal Ashraf and was promised that it would be quite good for her career. But Kubra regretted her decision when she arrived on set to find out that the scene she had to perform was an item song.
Kubra recalled how she began crying on the first day of shooting the song, because she had to walk past a group of boys who began making obscene sounds at her. “I remember I literally had tears in my eyes.”
On whether she felt if item number songs should be included in movies or not, Kubra said it was everyone’s personal choice.
