Mohabbat Yun Bhi Honi Thi features a second chance romance between estranged parents, star studded cast and the elegance of Dubai

As 2025 commences, the one thing we’re not leaving behind is good storytelling and wholesome love stories. Hum tv is releasing a telefilm ‘Mohabbat Yun Bhi Honi Thi’ and by the looks of it, it seems like we’re getting another well written love story that will definitely knock our socks off! Here are some reasons why we’re marking down the days until this telefilm arrives on our screen.

1 The telefilm will revolve around a beloved k-drama trope: second chance romance

In 2024 Korean dramas like  ‘Queen Of Tears’, ‘When The Phone Rings’ and then also ‘Mr Plankton’ received critical acclaim for audiences for their excellent execution of the second chance romance. And we’re so glad that this time we’re witnessing the Pakistani entertainment industry take their own shot on showing how even estranged spouses can fall back in love together after marriage. As the promo shows, the couple has been icy towards each other for some time since the birth of their children, and have a chance to heal their relationship when the grandmother drops by in Dubai for a visit.

2 Featuring a star-studded cast

We’re incredibly excited to see Saba Qamar and Ahsan Khan back again as main leads in another drama, after all the duo has given us some fantastic projects in the past few years like ‘Dastaan’, ‘Faud’ and also ‘Pani Jaisa Pyar’.

3 The telefilm will be written by Sarah Majeed, the writer behind the iconic drama ‘Fairytale’

Unless you lived under a rock in 2023, you would have remembered all the fanfare and the hype surrounding the beloved romantic comedy ‘Fairytale’. Audiences couldn’t stop blabbing everywhere about how much they loved the wholesome relationship between the feisty and clumsy Umeed, and how Farjaad always kept uplifting her dreams rather than shutting her down. We’re so excited that the writer behind this drama, Sarah Majeed, is coming back with another project and we have nothing but high expectations for how it goes!

‘Mohabbat Yun Bhi Honi Thi’ is set to air on 3rd January on Hum Tv.
