The wait is finally over! The much anticipated Sajal Aly and Hamza Ali Abbasi starrer ‘Alif‘ has already aired two episodes and with that, to no surprise, gathered massive attention for its star-studded cast, cinematography and strong story-line!

Hamza Ali Abbasi plays the role of a well-established director, Momin, who is at the peak of his career whilst Sajal Aly plays the character of Momina, a hard working girl struggling to make ends meet!

The drama serial is the production of Sana Shahnawaz and Samina Humayun Saeed and is based on the novel by Umera Ahmed, being brought to life by director Haseeb Hassan. The title also marks the return of Hamza Ali Abbasi after 3 years of last being seen on screen for ‘Mann Mayal’ adding all the more excitement in the audience!

The show boasts a ‘full-on’ star-studded cast – apart from Sajal Aly and Hamza Ali Abbasi other noteable names include Kubra Khan, Ahsan Khan, Osman Khalid Butt, Manzar Sehbai, Saleem Mairaj and Lubna Aslam.
Umera Ahmed spoke to a media source about the project saying, “Alif is the revered first letter of Allah’s name, and the serial will be related to that. It’s a beautiful story and we’ll gradually reveal more details.”
