“New Film Policy will be announced next month, all major taxes on Films will be abolished likewise Dramas and Film business will get special benefits. Hope new Film Policy will go a long way to revive Pak Film industry.”

He also mentioned that the government is supporting and encouraging the export of our films and wants the film producers to form two groups in their association with one focussing on the Gulf countries and the second one on China to export Pakistani films.

He further mentioned that our film industry plays an important role in promoting our culture, heritage and through our movies we can also attract tourism. A proposal to encourage young film makers (under the Kamyaab Jawan Programme) was also observed in the meeting and hopefully a policy regarding this project will also be shared by the government.

Many celebrities appreciated this step taken by the government and hope that it is implemented  as soon as possible. We hope that this step helps the drama and film industry in various ways and may this step helps in reviving  our country’s entertainment industry.
