Ghosts, family drama and a star-studded cast: here is why we’re excited about Deemak

This is definitely about to be an exciting time for the Pakistani entertainment industry because we’re about to get a paranormal horror film that is set to exceed all expectations. Yesterday, Twitter buzzed with excitement when the teaser trailer for the upcoming horror film ‘Deemak’ was released across social media. With only a sneak peek of the film ‘Deemak’ has given us a few hints that this film is going to feature ghost, unexpected incidents, paranormal horror and a typical desi family in a home.

Here are some reasons why we encourage you to mark down the days in anticipation till when the film is released in cinemas across the country, because a horror film about a desi family featuring ghosts? Count us in!

1 Ayesha Muzaffar as the screenwriter behind ‘Deemak’

If you haven’t heard of Ayesha Muzaffar then are you even a true horror girlie? I picked up her book ‘Jinnistan’ last year thinking it could work as a good read while travelling on the bus. But instead, I was left completely speechless by how truly mind-chilling and creepy her stories were.

Ayesha released the teaser on her Instagram account abusjinns, calling this film “dark, gripping and deeply unsettling”.

2 A star-studded cast

A film that is filled with A-list actors like Bushra Ansari, Faysal Quraishi, Sonya Hussyn and Javed Sheikh? This is definitely going to be a film that makes a huge mark on the film industry just like ‘Maula Jatt’ did.

3 Rafay Rashadi as the director of ‘Deemak’
