On 11th August, Cambridge International Examinations announced its results which did not settle well with the students. The outcry forced CIE to re-assess the whole process and the final verdict was announced today. Our federal Minister Education announced today that “Great news. Our tireless effort has been successful. Cambridge has decided that grades for June 2020 would NOT BE LESS THAN PREDICTED GRADES SENT BY SCHOOLS. PLUS Where a grade issued last week was HIGHER THAN THE PREDICTED GRADE, THE HIGHER GRADE WILL STAND.”

Students spend their whole lives preparing for their Cambridge International Examinations and the result day stands as one daunting experience! it was unfortunate that due to COVID-19 they couldn’t give their exams. However, students were waiting anxiously for their results now that they were based on predicted grades. The results however led to an outcry and forced CIE to re analyze their verdict. It was announced that on Tuesday the final verdict will come out, hence the students were anticipating what the final verdict would be regarding their grades. Now that they have announced that students will not be awarded below predicted grades, students are rejoicing and celebrating.
