Hollywood’s celebrated actress Cate Blanchett was present at the premier of ‘The Apprentice’ at the Cannes Film Festival, where she made a small, but significant dedication to the Palestine solidarity movement. The actress bypassed censorship laws by lifting up her black gown which had a green underlining, which paired along with the red carpet, was a hidden reference to the Palestine flag.

This act has received praises on the internet.

Blanchett was among the first 25 Hollywood celebrities along with Andrew Garfield, Joaquin Phoenix and Dua Lipa to sign the petition calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, where the death toll has now crossed over to 40,000 killed civilians, including women and children.
