Armeena Khan’s husband, Fesl Khan urges men to be better husbands as he talks about struggles with wife’s illness

Armeena Khan’s husband, Fesl Khan, has set the bar high for husbands as his support and care throughout his wife’s illness have won hearts. In an interview with Nadia Khan in Rise and Shine, he stated that husbands should be a support system for their wives.

Fesl stated that Armeena witin the span of 2 years detriorated mentally and physically, while he found himself helpless; he could not save her from the sickness. Yet, as the only support available, he learned to be a better husband and father to Armeena and their daughter. He added that earlier, women used to hide their depression, and men were unable to understand it and offer support. Women suffered in silence, and men lacked empathy.

Armeena’s illness abroad taught him the importance of being a supportive husband and a better father. He also stated that it taught him how much he needed to be there for his daughter and the trauma a woman has to deal with during a complicated pregnancy.

Fesl further added that he has grown and matured throughout the process and has become an active, present father to their daughter and a supportive husband to Armeena. He urged all husbands to be empathetic and support their partners through hardships.

Recently, in an Instagram post, Armeena Khan shared how, over some period of time, she had been dealing with health complications. She was in a wheelchair due to a meniscus tear during pregnancy that went bad due to a lack of care.  She also shared her struggle with postpartum depression, loss of a parent and a cancer scare.
