In defense of the claims made by Saqib Khan Chadhar, Momina Iqbal sat in a podcast with Irshad Bhatti, opening up about the mental and emotional damage the case has caused her. Stating that she was blackmailed and harassed by the politician, she said that several attempts were made to cancel her wedding. Sharing further details of the blackmail, she added that she received an inappropriate video from Saqib, claiming it was viral. Horrified by the unverified video, she became hysterical and suicidal. She said she could not connect the dots or verify the video.
Momina also said she made other attempts, such as filing a complaint against her then-fiancé. She said that the sole purpose of the harassment and blackmail was to stop her wedding. She alleged that the fake First Information Report (FIR) was filed for harassment against her husband, Hamza, to threaten him. Saqib expected him to back out of the wedding because of the controversy; however, it only strengthened their bond. She added that he was unaware of Hamza’s personality and their relationship, and that the attempt to damage it only strengthened it. She added that her husband stands by her and that they will settle only after justice is served.

Upon further questioning, Momina also shared that several young girls had contacted her and shared the abuse they endured at the hands of the politician. She claimed that around twenty-seven women came forward; however, appearing before the court would be their personal decision. She stated that her fight against harassment and blackmail is a national crisis, as she represents all women who have been exploited and harassed by Saqib. Clarifying her stance on reconciliation attempts, she added that while attempts are being made, she would not accept a fake apology; Saqib needs to be held accountable and nationally accept that he is the perpetrator.
