Who said Pathan men are not open and expressive when it comes to showering their wives with love? The all-rounder batsman and former Pakistani cricket team captain Shahid Afridi is here to prove all our preconceived notions wrong with his sweet gesture on social media.
A social media user , describing herself as a ‘Pakistani cricket fan’ posted on Afridi’s Twitter handle asking him to write “One word for your wife our bhabi ji”. To this Afridi responded saying that she is his world.

This gesture does not come as a surprise from Shahid Afridi who, although has made some very controversial remarks and statements in the past, relating to women and his views regarding their capabilities, has also recently been involved with many projects aimed towards contributing to education of females in Pakistan. This year, the batsman will be contributing to education in Pakistan for a second year.
